About Us
Kashi Tamil Sangam is a government-registered body (registered under the Government of Uttar Pradesh), created to serve as a cultural and community bridge for Tamils living in the sacred city of Kashi (Varanasi). It brings together families who have called Kashi home for generations, alongside professionals, scholars, educators, and students working across various government, academic, and research institutions.
Standing as a proud symbol of Tamil identity in Kashi, the association was officially launched on August 27, 2025, under the visionary leadership and guidance of its chief mentor, Shri S. Rajalingam, IAS, the Hon’ble Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi.
True to our Vision and Mission, our foremost duty is the welfare, safety, and progress of every Tamilian residing in or visiting Kashi. At the same time, we are deeply committed to renewing and nurturing the historic spiritual, intellectual, and cultural bonds that connect Tamil Nadu and Kashi.
Whether it is sharing the richness of Tamil language, literature, and arts across Northern India, safeguarding historic Tamil heritage sites in Kashi, encouraging dialogue across languages, or fostering national unity through brotherhood, Kashi Tamil Sangam is dedicated to serving both our community and our shared culture.
