VISION


To establish Kashi Tamil Sangam as a vibrant cultural, educational, and intellectual bridge between Tamil Nadu and Kashi, dedicated to the welfare, unity, and shared progress of Tamil-speaking residents and visitors in Kashi - fostering a sustained exchange of language, literature, knowledge, spiritual traditions, arts, and community values, while contributing to the larger vision of a united, multilingual, and culturally enriched India.


MISSION


  • Promoting Language & Arts: Promoting the Tamil language, literature, music,drama, fine arts, and traditional cultural expressions in Varanasi and beyond.
  • Strengthening Historic Ties: Strengthening the historic and contemporary cultural, educational, spiritual, and intellectual connections between Tamil Nadu and Kashi.
  • Community & Diaspora Integration: Bringing together Tamil-speaking residents,scholars, students, artists, researchers, and visitors in Varanasi while offering support and guidance to the community.
  • Language Learning & Pedagogy: Creating accessible opportunities for teaching and learning Tamil, and encouraging meaningful interaction between Tamil and other Indian languages.
  • Research & Translation: Facilitating translation, comparative literary studies, digital archiving, and interdisciplinary research to make Tamil knowledge systems accessible across linguistic communities.
  • Preserving Heritage Landmarks: Documenting, preserving, and commemorating the shared heritage of Kashi and Tamil Nadu, including historical landmarks and the contributions of Tamil scholars, saints, poets, and cultural icons.
  • Academic & Cultural Events: Organising lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops, literary events, competitions, cultural festivals, and public outreach activities.
  • Knowledge Networks: Developing publications, digital repositories, and media platforms that strengthen multilingual and intercultural dialogue.
  • National Integration: Fostering national unity through cultural exchange, mutual respect, and appreciation for India’s rich linguistic diversity.
