We're a small, Varanasi-based team that got tired of watching visitors get overcharged for boat rides and rushed through temple queues.
CityVaranasi.com started as a handful of local guides and boatmen who coordinated informally for visiting friends and family. Over time, more travellers asked for the same help — a fair-priced boat ride, a hotel that was actually close to the ghats, a pandit who wouldn't overcharge for a ritual.
Today we handle tour packages, boat bookings, hotel matching, car rental and pooja arrangements for visitors from across India and abroad. Every service on this site is something our own team has used or arranged directly — we don't resell listings we haven't checked ourselves.
