Like most of Varanasi's 84 ghats, Dandi Ghat is used day to day mostly by residents of the surrounding lanes for bathing, laundry and the ordinary rhythm of riverside life, rather than drawing the crowds that gather at the handful of landmark ghats nearby.
It sits within easy walking distance of both Gularia Ghat and Hanuman Ghat, and is best taken in as part of a longer walk or boat ride along this stretch rather than visited on its own.
