Home / Ghats / Ganga Mahal Ghat (II)
One of Kashi's 84 ghatsGanga Mahal Ghat (II) is a smaller ghat on the central stretch of the riverfront, between Sankatha Ghat and Bhonsale Ghat — the second of two ghats on the river sharing the Ganga Mahal name, this one in the central stretch rather than the south near Assi.
Like most of Varanasi's 84 ghats, Ganga Mahal Ghat (II) is used day to day mostly by residents of the surrounding lanes for bathing, laundry and the ordinary rhythm of riverside life, rather than drawing the crowds that gather at the handful of landmark ghats nearby.
It sits within easy walking distance of both Sankatha Ghat and Bhonsale Ghat, and is best taken in as part of a longer walk or boat ride along this stretch rather than visited on its own.
