Nepali Ghat is a smaller ghat on the central stretch of the riverfront, between Yajneshvara (Naya) Ghat and Lalita Ghat — sits beside Lalita Ghat's well-known Nepali-style wooden temple, and the two names together reflect the same historic Nepal-Kashi religious connection.
Like most of Varanasi's 84 ghats, Nepali Ghat is used day to day mostly by residents of the surrounding lanes for bathing, laundry and the ordinary rhythm of riverside life, rather than drawing the crowds that gather at the handful of landmark ghats nearby.
It sits within easy walking distance of both Yajneshvara (Naya) Ghat and Lalita Ghat, and is best taken in as part of a longer walk or boat ride along this stretch rather than visited on its own.
