Niranjani Ghat is a smaller ghat on the south stretch of the riverfront, between Chet Singh Ghat and Mahanirvani Ghat — associated with the Niranjani Akhara, one of Hinduism's major ascetic orders, which maintains a base in this part of the city.
Like most of Varanasi's 84 ghats, Niranjani Ghat is used day to day mostly by residents of the surrounding lanes for bathing, laundry and the ordinary rhythm of riverside life, rather than drawing the crowds that gather at the handful of landmark ghats nearby.
It sits within easy walking distance of both Chet Singh Ghat and Mahanirvani Ghat, and is best taken in as part of a longer walk or boat ride along this stretch rather than visited on its own.
