Aditya (Sun) TempleHindu tradition in Kashi names twelve Aditya, or sun, shrines scattered across the city, each tied to a particular form or aspect of Surya — Keshava Aditya is one of these twelve, linking sun worship directly to Vishnu through its name.
Sun worship has a long history in Varanasi, and the twelve Aditya shrines are traditionally visited together as a circuit by dedicated pilgrims, in much the same way the city's twelve local Jyotirlinga-equivalents are visited as a set.
Keshava Aditya is a smaller, quieter stop compared to the well-known Lolark Kund, and tends to draw pilgrims specifically undertaking the fuller Aditya circuit rather than casual visitors.
If you're interested in the sun-worship tradition specifically, it's worth asking a local priest or guide about the full twelve-shrine circuit, since the individual temples are spread across different parts of the old city and not always easy to find without directions.
